At our high school, we work together every day with our students to create a pleasant school atmosphere. In this way, we provide our students with a safe environment for their personal development and a supportive setting for their academic success.
To ensure optimal working conditions and learning environments for all students, teachers, and staff members at our school, every member of our school community adheres to a set of rules. These include, of course, basic rules of courtesy and specific work requirements such as participation and readiness to learn, accuracy, diligence, and perseverance, but also, in part, very specific rules and procedures for particular situations.
The following 12 rules apply at all times:
1. We respect each other.
We are all members of our school community, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic background, nationality, or individual needs. This diversity is what makes our school community so rich.
We respect our own boundaries and those of others. This also means that everyone’s personal freedoms end where another person’s freedoms begin.
2. I really enjoy spending time with you.
Each of us has received an upbringing rooted in social values and manners. That is why we conduct ourselves in such a way that we can always be proud of our behavior.
We will follow the rules and instructions we receive.
Mir encourages the positive use of language in both spoken and written contexts, as well as in the digital environment.
We should express our opinions clearly and appropriately, listen carefully when someone says or explains something, and let the other person finish speaking.
3. We're a team—you, me, us.
We help each other out.
In a team, everyone has their own role. We bring our strengths and interests to the team and let others make up for our weaknesses.
4. I'm really sorry.
I'm from Wouerecht.
We should take action and help find solutions when we’ve made a mistake.
We prepare for exams and follow the standard exam guidelines. We only submit work that we have researched and written ourselves.
5. We are once again putting ourselves and others in danger.
We follow safety guidelines and take the time to think things through,
Let's get down to business.
In the event of disagreements or conflicts, we try to mediate whenever possible, or seek help. Violence is not the answer.
6. I am committed to fostering a stimulating learning environment and a positive school atmosphere.
We’re doing our best to the best of our ability. We’ve fully prepared our school materials, are focusing on our lessons, and are completing our assignments.
Our iPad setup is fully equipped with all the necessary accessories. We make sure that all the technical components are in place so we can work efficiently. We keep our software up to date, and our documents are organized, securely stored, and easily accessible.
We know our username and password for the various services. We are personally responsible for everything that happens under our username. During lessons and discussions, we stay on topic.
We are all responsible for keeping the classroom and school grounds clean.
We really enjoy the great school atmosphere here. Laughing and having fun together are just as much a part of our school day as learning and working.
7. I'm always there and arrive on time for class.
We know our schedule, our classrooms, and the school hours by heart
Coursen's year.
Regular attendance at school and in class is a fundamental requirement for academic success. That is why we feel this way—and for good reason.
If I am sick or unable to attend, I will stay home and notify my parents or guardians, as well as the instructor, via email or by phone at 26 31 40-1 before the start of class.
If you are absent, please submit a written excuse to the school administrator no later than the third day following your first day of absence. If you are absent for more than three days, please visit a doctor and submit the appropriate medical certificate.
If you miss a class for any reason, please contact one of our teachers or the student office. As with any absence, you will need to provide a written excuse in this case as well.
8. We respect the material.
We treat this equipment with the same care as we do the other materials. This includes respecting the school’s facilities and the equipment the school provides us. However, if we do damage something, we take responsibility, report the damage, and make up for it.
We respect other people’s property. We ask for permission before taking anything, and we accept it if we are not granted permission.
9. Let’s use digital media wisely and limit our screen time.
We use iPads in the classroom.
Between classes and during recess, the iPad stays in the backpack. At the start of class, it lies closed on the desk. Cell phones are turned off in the classroom and safely stored in the backpack.
No. 14:20 We can also use the iPad in the school library.
In class, we only use the apps and websites that our teacher has assigned to us.
To use the image, we require explicit consent from everyone who appears in or is heard on the recording. We also require additional written consent to publish or forward the recording.
To ensure we can hear each other at all times when someone speaks, we keep our music at a volume during breaks that allows us to speak at a normal volume. Out of respect for others, we avoid using public address systems.
We only use our cell phones during breaks when necessary, and even then, just enough to keep up with what’s going on around us.
10. Let's keep our school clean.
We all want to live, learn, and work in a clean school. We
Hannerloosse, don't throw your trash in the trash can.
Let’s make sure we live sustainably. This means using reusable containers and a water bottle (such as the Josy Drink Bottle). We sort the rest of our trash and dispose of it in the appropriate bins.
We clean the classroom before leaving, arranging the desks and chairs properly. If we are the last ones to use the room, we also stack the chairs on top of the desks, close the windows, and check that the projector, the screen, and all the computers are turned off. In the special rooms, the rules may vary. Therefore, we follow the guidelines for each specific room. We eat and drink only in the areas designated for that purpose. These areas are exclusively on the ground floor. When we are in the hallways or classrooms, our food and drinks must be safely stored in our bags.
In the classroom, we drink only water from a water bottle that we bring with us. In special rooms, such as the information room, we leave our water bottles in the basket.
11. We will adapt the school framework accordingly.
As members of the LJBM school community, we distinguish between casual and sportswear on one hand, and school uniforms on the other. At school, we dress appropriately, just as we do in our free time.
Jogging pants and/or leggings are perfect for gym class and our free time.
At school, we must wear a hat or any other head covering that is not religious
Background, off.
12. We care about your health and the environment.
We eat healthy, get enough exercise, and make sure we get enough sleep. That’s why we’re fit at school and in our daily lives.
Out of respect for ourselves and our health, we refrain from using harmful substances. Tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs are prohibited on school grounds, within the school premises, and during sports activities and field trips. We respect nature in all its forms, as we encounter it in our daily school life, and strive to minimize our negative impact on the natural environment as much as possible.
We all have a responsibility toward ourselves and toward the school community. If we violate the common rules, we must accept the consequences, including the disciplinary sanctions that apply.
