Josy goes green

Font adjustments: Users can increase or decrease the font size, change the font family, adjust spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
Color adjustments: Users can select different color contrast profiles, such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. In addition, users can change the color schemes for headings, text, and backgrounds, with more than seven different color options available.
Animations: People with epilepsy can stop any currently playing animations with a single click. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and flashing CSS transitions.
Highlighting content: Users can choose to highlight important elements such as links and headings. They can also choose to highlight only the elements they are focusing on or hovering over.
Mute Audio: Users who wear hearing aids may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playback. This option allows users to instantly mute the audio on the entire website.
Cognitive impairments: We use a search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, which helps people with cognitive impairments understand the meaning of phrases, acronyms, slang, and other terms.
Additional features: We offer users the ability to change the cursor’s color and size, use a print mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and access many other features.

The goal of “Josy Goes Green”

The goal of the Sustainability Committee is to address current social and environmental challenges (climate change, resource and energy consumption, plastic pollution, biodiversity loss, etc.) together with our students through concrete projects and initiatives. In this way, our students become more aware of these issues and can develop more responsible behaviors. The goal is to challenge our current production and consumption models and to put the concept of the “circular economy” into practice, in order to protect our environment and thus ensure a good quality of life for future generations.

The Sustainability Committee initiates its own projects (Upbooking, Eco-Delegate, consistent waste sorting, etc.), supports existing sustainability projects (Give Box, Repair Café, , secondhand market, upcycling at the Makerspace, etc.) and enables students to develop their own ideas and supports them in implementing them (BNE Awards, etc.).
