Fairtrade at LJBM

Students from classes 6GS1, 6G3, and 6G4 have organized an awareness campaign on the topic of Fairtrade at our school this year as part of their geography class. In an exhibition, they took a closer look at the production chains of chocolate, palm oil, and cotton. We launched a discussion on young people’s consumption habits in the textile sector at our school and tried to raise awareness about the negative impacts of “fast fashion.” At a booth at the school festival, they sold homemade pastries and milkshakes made from Fairtrade products and donated a portion of the proceeds to the NGO Fairtrade.
